Edward Carter Solutions have a fantastic permanent opportunity for an experienced SAP Change and Release Manager looking to join our end user Fast Moving Consumer Goods client in Manchester, UK as they continue with the roll-out of their common SAP ERP system across their global markets.

Successful candidates will be required to support the ongoing operation of the SAP solution by controlling and coordinating all changes into the SAP environment.

Successful applicants will have the following responsibilities:

• Control and coordinate all new development, changes and fixes across the SAP application landscape
• Ensure an effective relationship with the AMS provider, including the offshore team, ensuring adherence to processes defined for incident management, change management, problem management and release management
• Develop and maintain the change/release plan to ensure changes are delivered on-time and in full.
• Liaise with Service Delivery & Infrastructure team re the performance of the Infrastructure Management Service (IMS) provider supporting the SAP solution to help drive service and performance improvement initiatives.
• Support the governance, communicate progress and help manage the implementation of changes to the relevant Business Analysts and operating units

Suitable candidates will have the following essential skills and experience:

• Broad knowledge of SAP processes gained through either working in a business environment or through exposure to ERP implementations
• Experience of establishing an effective change / issue / release management framework.
• Experience of working with an offshore AMS provider
• IT project management/change management experience, ideally using outsourced providers.
• ITIL v3 qualified to at least Foundation-level
• Experience of working with offshore 3rd Party outsource providers
• Experience of working in a matrix organisation, ideally within an FMCG international environment
• Excellent communication skills.
